No tripod - Ron will tell you that I have a phobia about carrying one around London. I was wondering why you asked about the time because it was around lunch time. Now I see - the tall columns make the shadows look like an evening shot. I've never noticed it before
Carrying a tripod in London identifies you as a serious photographer and can attract unwanted attention. I've read too much about the authorities getting heavy handed and demanding you delete your images or even people getting arrested. It's unlikely to happen to me as a small, lone female, but I was cautioned on the London Underground once for photographing an escalator of all things. You can often find a wallpod or bollardpod and if not, I can hand hold at very slow shutter speeds
Great shot Zooey. Well worth the patience
When I was lugging my tripod ( if you can call
that little Travel Angel a tripod ) around with you,
there's only one shot I remember it made a difference.
I simply can't hand hold that steady and like my
security blanket.
I really am glad that you're getting back to the city
more now. Enjoy seeing the results
Ron
