Hi all,
Its been a while since I aquired another camera lol but I have just got a nice Kodak Retinette 1b which looks awesome
I have started to get a few more 35mm cameras due to the more economic costs of the 35mm vs the MF 120 roll film - ie 36 photos vs 8, although technically at a lower resolution but im not going to blow them up to a poster!
It comes in a case to protect the lens (much like the Sputnik camera)
It looks pretty smart
Its got a Rodenstock lens and apparently the image quality is really sharp on the Retinettes which is good![Big Grin :D :D](https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/joypixels/assets/8.0/png/unicode/64/1f600.png)
The focus ring is a bit different, it basically clicks into 3 different settings ie close, medium or far as its not an SLR you have to guess the distance to get everything in focus. Kodak have seem to have kinda got around this issue with 3 clicks so you can select a close enough setting for things to be in focus quickly which I found interesting.
Here is the top where you select what film you have and the exposure counter
And here is the odd thing about the camera, the film advance is on the base of the camera rather than on the top like everything else I own
I will hopefully go out and shoot with this soon, now that I have some 35mm film, will look forward to seeing the quality of the images.
