Nice tones tithe black and white eh?
Is this out of camera still?
Very wintery...
My initial instincts tell me her face should be framed higher in the frame but I quite like the oof stuff in the background...
And her hat balances the lower face position I think ...

Very nice - and that's a fancy looking Barbour! :D

In my day they were waxy looking, and either green or blue!

Nice use of DOF to separate the subject from the background

I'd have done a square crop myself! :D :D

Nice grab shot. I like the compo as it is, but there are loads of options.

Chris, Barbour-type jackets are massively in fashion at the moment. My 17 year old daughter and her friends all wear them, and they aren't country types at all. And strolling around the shopping centre recently when I wanted a new coat, every other bloke was wearing a coat with diamond pattern stitching and a shiny finish. The shops are chock full of them too, whether made by Barbour or not. It seems to be this year's Ugg boots.

Yes, I would have cropped it much tighter, though I can't say a square format works for me with this picture.
...though having said that, I've just tried a sqaure crop just bigger than the width of the hat. It cuts out most of the hair, but does concentrate on the face nicely.
