Critique Welcomed My Self

The light in this stairwell is rather delightful in the mornings.

Olympus XA3 and Kodak Tri-X 400 that I processed in Rodinal.

That's very beautiful, Brian. Makes you look suave and sophisticated. Cameras, eh? Who can trust them? Nice Japanese quality to it, somehow.

My first thought was a new interpretation of a scene from The Third Man, the entry to the underground in the advertising column. I don't know why, it is the wrong time of the day, it does not look like an advertising column and the stairs probably do not lead to the underground.
Maybe it is the brilliant shadow.

Thank you, Detlef.

Fabulous shot, Brain. Like Detlef, it reminds me also of film but I see a sort of begin version of Nosferatu or some similar film from the German Expressionist movement. It also kind of echoes the moving shadows in Dracula by Coppola, only here the branches are the evil hands.

Love that notion of the image emulating that German cinema esthetic. Very appealing. Thanks, Pete.
