My Student Shot Me

During our lesson, my student, Enid, used my DP1M for a quick snap. Nik Silver for toning. It is a bit shaky (less vibrato next time, Enid) but not bad. This is where I work, teach and play.

I am impressed how far you have come with photography Rob it takes a while to be a master in painting and have students doing the work for you. Hats off. Like your reflection on screen as if the camera is tethered to the computer.

Well there you lost a student old man. Love the picture and it actually accentuates what I have believed all the time and seen for myself. The scots are a little pale aren't they? Or is it the flash?

Your room looks nice and cosy. I am looking forward to having my own space soon: A space for me and my music/photography stuff and a space for my wife and her books. Or a bigger space to share. Your Apple stuff seems similar to my own.

Cosy it may be, but it is our only living room apart from two bedrooms, a kitchen and bathroom. The girls have to leave when I have students. It is far from ideal, and far too cosy for our liking. Property in Edinburgh is as expensive as London, and for one more room we would have to pay another 100 grand. Rhona will be vacating her room in a few weeks...but, of course, we want to keep all her stuff for when she returns during breaks. No, it's far too cosy. We could move to the outskirts and have a whole house for the same price, but I wouldn't get enough students. I need a proper job.
