I look after five full time chefs, hygiene and cleaning duties everyday. I've my own corner with industrial dish washer etc... Yea we prepare/make/serve pretty much everything, breakfast/lunch/tea seven days per week within a rest-bite home. In-house baking to, yumyum!
Busy place ok, catering for around 70 people when it's near full-house.
I used to work in a kitchen at a pizza resturant ... Probably phisically the hardest job I've ever had! 45 degrees heat in the summer and I often had to run the whole kitchen on my own!
Bloody nightmare it was ...
A lot of fun on a Saturday night though, with a full set of kitchen staff a few of which were absolutely nuts - one full blown alchy... Enough people to just pick your job for the night - clean, make table or cut table ... Cut table was best as you got to flirt with the waitresses ... Loads of fun!
Wouldn't ever do it again!!! To much like hard work
Kudos to anyone who can stick it, once you have worked in a kitchen you see restaurants in a different light I reckon!
