As I left to head to the park with the Nikon, I saw this guy in the tree next to our driveway. I believe it's a sharp-shinned hawk although it could also be a red-shouldered hawk. The lens on the Nikon was a 28-200 so I went back in after clicking off a few to get the OM-1. Of course, the bird easily filled the frame in the OM-1 with the 300/4 plus a 2x tc.

the om series can get quite the reach, esp. when coupled with the tc. great pics, though i fear you may be lunch in the first.

I typically shoot birds with the OM-1 but was on my way out with the Nikon. I probably should have just swapped the lens on the Nikon for the 70-300. The OM-1 got me too close.
