Cheers, Gary. I'm looking forward to playing with it. Our little utility room is nearly ready to use as a sort of darkroom - just enough space for three small trays to develop the plates in. Sadly I broke my one remaining safelight a while back, so had to get another from the 'Bay. I still need to check that the plates are thin enough for the original holders. These are technically a tad thicker than the original ones, so may present a bit of an issue. We'll see. anyway, I won't have time to try them for a couple of months.
The camera's a funny old thing. There's no maker's name on it, but I believe it's a Welta from the early part of the last century. The lens on it looks like it's based on Chevalier's landscape doublet that first appeared back in the 1830s. I'm quite looking forward to it.
