A light-weight (1.4 kg) 4x5 camera and 6x12 (also 6x4.5, 6x6, 6x9) roll film back. Photos attached.

I was looking at one of those Shens but got a speed graphics instead as I wanted the flexibility of having a focal plane shutter onboard so I could use older barrel lenses. Let use know how you get on :D

It's nice to have a Speed Graphics, David. :) I am curious too. Especially, the roll film back and panoramic images will be practical and interesting on overseas trips. Some airports may have difficulty understanding boxes of exposed sheet film as negatives.

UPDATE: Returned the camera and the roll film back after testing over the week-end.
There was no donkey in the box, and the film back needed the Hulk to advance the film.

Hmm that is a shame, I guess if you are wanting to shoot crazy wide panoramic you might need to get one of those hipster Belair 6x12s *sigh*.

What is the rest of the camera like though?

Extremely light weight and feel. But they claim 45mm front rise, which is actually only 37mm. Deal-breaker...

It's the monkey business, Rob. :)

Time for a pacemaker speed graphics then? :D

David, I read some reviews on roll film backs. This one you are showing is a lesser quality one according to the forums.
The one I tried had good reviews, but it was defective. I would not want to risk any purchase without having the right to return.

The other issue - the break-even point is about 100 rolls of 120 film for the cost of purchase, or at the least, that's the cost of roll film and panoramic ratio convenience for overseas travels.

Do you have a Graflock back on your David?

Looking at pictures of a Graflok back I do indeed seem to have one which is rather useful when needing to swap out the backs!
