New ferret

Otherwise know as Zooey
I think I mentioned in one of the other threads that we got called out late one night about three weeks ago. A ferret had been thrown in a wheelie bin, so we brought him home and installed him in a show cage upstairs. Not being neutered meant he was full of hormones and difficult to handle - I got badly bitten twice a day for ten days. Then we took him to our specialist vet and had him implanted (chemical neutering - surgical neutering too early brings on adrenal tumours). Two days later and he stopped biting. The day after that I'm able to kiss him. (We do this to ensure all our ferrets are face safe for children to handle. We're doing a show with them at the beginning of next month).

A few days ago we put him in the main ferret room - a converted downstairs bedroom with megazorb on the floor and an adventure playground. Our other fifteen ferrets have been as good as gold and they are getting on perfectly. Last night we were cleaning their room again and most of them came out to play including Wall-E. (I nearly called him Wheelie, but it didn't seem to suit him).

Somewhere out there, at least one cruel person has missed out on a perfect pet...
