Dan Down - The Steampunk Womble
I don't know if anyone has noticed, but I seem quite comfortable with a particular type of style with my PP recently.
I use a preset on LR 'antique greyscale' and 'aged photo' and the occasional High contrast B&W with added tweeks of exposure adjustment etc.
I can not stress how much I LOVE IT!!
However, the question is... Does anyone else get relatively comfortable with a style of PP and tend to use it more regularly and fear it may become boring like I do?

Yep me too in PS I have a particular workflow that I follow, but have just made a change after posting and seeing Pete's comments, does it work, I think so, I like it so may now move on........

Definitely yes, every so often I throw in something totally different just to prove to myself that I can

nothing worng with that DD, it a great effect i like it alot.

Obviousy subtle tweeks can be done here and there to suit each shot as & when needed.

I love LR, so glad i sat down and decided i must learn how to use this :) I love playing around with the pre-sets, i also download other pre-set occasionally, its good to have a change

Dan, I think we all come to have favorite processing techniques that we use of and over again. If we like the results there no reason not to use those techniques. But I think trying some different techniques and making comparisons is good too.

At some point you start to edge towards towards a style and particular look. I think the Antique Grayscale is a really nice PP. I often use a modified version that has some extra grain and vignette. I actually have quite a few images that I don't think I have ever posted even though they are mounted and framed on the wall at home. I'll have to stick them on at some point.
