New Toy OM-E

no tips required ... just your thoughts as you use it really I suppose ...
I read loads of reviews, but never find them as interesting as reading what people think about cameras as time goes on ... they are much more valuable to "real" photographers imo

I second that. Reviews are all well and good but often state too much opinion as fact and put the results of objective technical test out of context. Simple things that can be fairly critical are missed out as a result.

... perfect example ... the little flash feature ive found with the rx100
Ive not read about that in any review ... im not sure its even a feature as such ... but its cool!!

... oh and just for you I used my cat as a model!

What made me realise this "issue" with reviews was when I discovered that the lens on my camera was not dust sealed and that there is nothing you can do to stop dust getting in. There was no mention of this in any review at all.

Looking nice Julian - how's it to handle?

It's ok Chris, early days yet. I will start a thread sometime soon about my experience with it. The focusing is very good and love the touch screen, which folds out flat and can be touched to focus and can be set to trigger the shutter at the same time, so for street photog it is brilliant. The touch and focus is instant. My biggest concern is image quality via the smaller senser, the weather has been awful here very grey and dank, not even nice grey and dank light. It takes time for me to adapt to a different set up and so far there are more positives than negatives.
