NIK are kicking off 2013 with 5 days a week of live training seminars online - including some evening sessions and even some saturdays.

Registration is FREE, and from previous experience, I'd say the content and trainers are top notch.

I know this may sound silly, but although I would like to try one of these, I'm scared to dip my toe in the water. Do you need any other equipment? I mean... we don't have any camera or microphone, so I can only communicate by typing. Our connection is also horrendously slow. I mean - sometimes it doesn't go over 250Kb (and yes, I do mean well under 1Mb). I'm worried I will lag behind or I just won't know what's going on. Can you catch up later on You Tube?

It's pretty much a one way seminar Lesley - you watch them 'live' but you're not really actively participating, other than by Email for questions.

Not sure on the minimum bandwidth requirements - similar to youtube I'd guess

They do record these and show them as training videos on demand - so you can watch them again later at any time - they have dozens on their website already.

Cheers Chris! Mostly with YouTube I get three seconds of video for ten seconds of the spinning wheel. Then I may get another second or two if I'm lucky. I found the training videos yesterday and for some reason I can watch them without a problem. I'll mark the page as a favourite and check back later
