I did something that I said I would never do. These and the Apollo were bought as investments. This was prompted by the Apollo becoming available (it almost looks unused) and so decided that it would be nice to put a little 'display' of classic Nikons together as I have F2s and F3s that don't get much use an more (this of course means I have to buy a F4 and a F5 to complete the line-up! ). I always wanted a Nikon rangefinder but could never find the right one and ended up going down the Leica route (no, I'm not going to collect those!). The SP and the S3 were limited editions and both have a rare, fast lens fitted and a beautiful leather case each. They are boxed and un-used. Only 2500 of the SPs were made and they were only available in Japan. You were 'invited' to apply to buy one! Some people have rather over-ambitious expectations of their current value (eg Grays have one at a silly price too) but they probably won't go down in value.
