This is the third or forth time I've looked at this now..
It's a great photo with the sign in the background!
But it looks like shes superimposed somehow ... Is it just me??
Is it a real photo?
I might just be being daft??

It's real. It does have the look you say because of very diffused light. Almost no shadow. This series looks unnatural to me too

I think that's what adds to its appeal.............that question of is it or is it not?

The backdrop is superb, obviously well thought out and would have been a total peach if you had been more to the right in front of the poster and got the same shot, but then you would not have got the expression on the runner.

there's always a pay off isn't there? :)

it wasn't planned as such but the poster was spotted. This is an all out gutsy runner whom I know.

Runners running fast are often in the air! That's what differentiates running from race-walking. In race-walking they are supposed to have a foot on the ground. I've shot 10fps sequences of Ireland's two top racewalkers flat-out, Kate Veale (World junior champion) and Robert Heffernan ( an Olympian) and I could not catch them with both feet off the ground. So, there's a great art in that.
