Okavango dawn #1

I am posting these images to show everyone that I do not just take desert photos

In this image the sun is rising above the fog that rises from the Okavango marshlands in Botswana. The sunrise is accompanied but the sounds of thousands of frogs and birds all singing their welcome song to the new day. In a few hours it will be so hot and humid that most of them will be hiding and sleeping.

Canon EOS 5Dmk2, Canon 17-40mm L at 20mm, f8 and 1/80 sec

What a great capture! I love the mood of this; I can almost feel the humidity and the rising heat I love the color too - did you do anything to accentuate it in post processing? And the faint detail in the estreme left part of the frame adds depth and just the right amount of mystery!

It is a magical place! No, the colors are like they were out of the camera, if anything they are less saturated than I remember
