I like how the building in the end of the pier seems to sit directly on the horizon line. And also you're very fortunate that the horizon off San Diego is not slightly tilted, like our is. ;) Lovely shot, Chris.

Good horizon, very direct comp, straight down the middle. Liking it a lot, Chris. What's an Induro Pan Head???

Thanks Rob.

Induro make a very nice tripod head, which allows you to set it level in all three planes with built-in bubble levels, and then rotate the camera either horizontally or vertically on a mini-turntable, to shoot panoramic shots.

Helps in getting the horizons level, buildings straight etc - and helps panos stitch together well.

Thanks Brian - the horizon here is tilted the same as yours 'up North' - but I fixed it in Photoshop ;)

Thanks Peter :)

Very nice Chris. Had to zoom in to really appreciate it.

I do find the dip in the centre very slightly disturbing though (added to by the slightly thicker border). Would it be worth a little Transform/Warp to lift it? It is such a super shot and composition.

You mean the ocean doesn't slope down to the pier naturally? :D

You have eagle eyes Pete - you're clearly well on the way to recovery :)
