Lots to catch the eye in this, Chris. I was wondering about cropping out the woman far right, but I concluded its better as it is, an example where busy = good.

Would it work well in colour, given the union jack and London 2012 strong colours?

Thanks Pete - yep, still living in the dark ages! :D

Thank you Tim - I tried cropping out the lady, but it left the subjects too close to the edge of frame, and also removed a closing point of perspective to the right, so keeping her in was the best option.

I initially rejected the color version, but have had a play since you mentioned the strong 2012 colors, and of course the Union Flag face painting.

What do you think?

Works well too but it becomes very much about the colours and less so about the direction of her gaze and the details I think. And the lady in blue draws the eye more as well. However, I would have liked it as well had you not have posted the B&W one first.

I think both colour schemes have their good points Chris!

I the B&W one I liked the translucent view through the pink canvas but this is much less prominent in the colour version.
