A stupid question......What did you use for the smoke? Smoke machine?

The light in the smoke looks like a low sun through fog - really helps you suspend the idea of scale

Thanks all yes Dan I have a smoke machine bought to use for some outside stuff I wanted to do a while back just never got round to it but I will

It's quite tricky to get the right amount of smoke for macro work isn't it? I find they a re a bit all or nothing and give the odd puff just when you don't want it!

Yes Pete, they are and there's always that annoying little puff at the end, I actually think that less is more for this sort of work, I'll use less in the final set ups

Yes, that's what I meant. I had real hassles doing that shot of the model plane. Even more annoying as I had to wind the bloody thing up each time!

Last night I was hand stand for two speed lights foot on the smoke switch timer on the shutter and blowing to get the movement, haha
