Outing With The Hound And The Fuji

Today myself and the hound took the Fuji to the park for it's first breath of fresh air. We decided to take the 50-230 only. This lens was a freebie from Fuji when I bought the XE1 and was interested to see how a freebie would perform. I took about 100 shots using the full range.
I was more than happy with the performance, actually a little more than surprised.
Here's two to get it up and running.

EDIT
I should say that the hound I refer to is Broch my border collie.

It is. Sorry, I meant to reply to this the other day but work got in the way. I like the symmetry of the first shot and the tones, but most of all I like that there looks like there should be a story associated with it. It reminds me of an opening sequence of a film in some ways. Nice. And a damned handsome hound. What's its name?

Hi Tom. On days when there are lots of uploads, occasionally a shot gets overlooked. It has happened to most of us at some point, and giving it a bump is the best thing to do.

And I'm glad you did!

Broch is lovely, and I can't believe it was the same lens did both shots. Actually I can! But you know what I mean. Two very different shots. Must get me one of those lenses!

Thank you Peter. These were taken in Crystal Palace Park, London. The structure is part and an old stairs/platform that leads in the direction of CP Athletics stadium. it's all a bit uncared for and messy there now.
Rob; I understand you fully. I did not know what a bump was until this evening when I saw it being used, to good effect too, by your good self on some other thread here. I am enjoying the XE1 very much and I am still trying to find the most comfortable way to hold it.
Thank you Beth. He is getting better.

Good bump Tom. Love the idea of the first one a lot. You did mention you'd post a pic of your dog and a fine lassie it is too.

Bumps are ok until the bump needs a bump then the doubts start to arise :)
