Dining solo one lunchtime outside the Torrance Market in Old Torrance, California, I glanced up and this is what I saw. Liked what I saw for some reason unknown to myself, so I snapped it with my Olympus XA. I developed the film in Rodinal. The film was Legacy Pro 400.

Hmmm,...strange artifact running parallel with the palm's trunk. Don't know what caused it Pete.

Look like a drying mark to me Brian. Not quite dry droplet that rand down when you moved the film.

I like the pattern of those leaves and the way the wires provide the balance in the shot. Quite fine grained isn't it.

Thanks, Pete. Many people consider Rodinal to be a developr that is not so fine grained,...but I think it gets a bad rap.

I was just thinking how I liked the wires when I read Pete's post. Wish I got scenes like that when I go out for lunch, just a load of wet pavements or mud recently.

You got rain up there? It was forecast down here in SD, but we never saw any of it. Must have stayed to the north.
