I was hoping for some color (given the bland landscape) but it was more of a subdued, pastel event. The clouds were nice at times, though. What was really -- unexpectedly -- nice was NO MOSQUITOES! Wow. That's unbelievable in Louisiana. Maybe they were still asleep?
Just for giggles here's a pano I shot before anything started happening. No great photo, but it gives a feel for my viewpoint. That's a little less than half of this small lake (one of two in the immediate area).
