Plane of Fame is more than a Military Aircraft Museum. Most of the planes are airworthy and are often used/flown for Hollywood (movies). Most of the planes are housed in hangars but a few are outside in the 'graveyard' awaiting reconstruction and ultimately ... flight. (FYI Chino is approximately 40 miles east of Hollywood.)

Nice, moody shots Gary. There is quite movement nowadays to keep these aircraft in the air. The jets engines seem to be the main problem, lacking adequate supplies of the spares they need. Piston engines are less demanding I guess. None of them rotate at the sort of speeds a turbine does.

As these planes are flown, their parking space will change. Consequently, the lighting of any particular aircraft will be different, making return trips significantly more interesting and enjoyable. There will be oil pans under planes that were recently airborne. You can rent a B25 and take an entire party up into the wild blue yonder.
