Poll Na Mbrón

And all you have is one picture to show for it? Pathetic! On the other hand, this is a stunning shot. The way the slab is echoed by the cloud - perfect. Really good, Rense, but please tell me you took more than one! We want to see them all.

Haha Rob, I have to disagree, although I take it as a compliment. No, it's not my only one. And no, you don't want to see them all. The fact is: I took too much....:D But I will show some in colour too, but I had no time for some proper PP yet....

I counted them (or LR did, to be honest): after I binned 15 bad ones, there are 1031 photos of our holidays in my LR library. And that is without the analogue photos still to be developed....

I have photographed Poll Na Mbrón (Hole Of Sorrows) many times. There is a very sad history to it.
This is a fine shot Rense and I hope you enjoyed the haunting atmosphere of the Burren and Co Clare. It is the best place in Ireland and I hope we treated you well.
Poulnabrone Dolmen (English translation) and indeed all of the Burren lends itself perfectly to B/W photography and you have captured it very well here. I'm sure you will have photographed it from many angles.

Thanks Tom! Yes, from all angles, except from above or down under.... It was magical. And you Irish and your country stole our hearts....

Beautiful image, the stony ground and dark sly compliment each other perfectly. There is something magical about ancient stones.
