Poorly, Sick, Ill, Not Well, X10

I use the X10 nearly everyday, it carries with me nearly everywhere, especially when walking wih the dog. I used it last on Friday pm, and all was well, picked it up today to take out and boom, shock horror, the lens/on off mechanism failed seems something internal has gone kaput, not happy as funds not available for expensive repair or replacement or upgrade, looks like my everyday opportunites are now lost with carrying the DSLR around..

maybe time to pack it all in having had a major breakage or failure of major appliances or equipment every month for the last 15......not good times at Saltbox Manor......

July 2012 was when it was upgraded with the new censor and firmware at fuji as part of their upgrade, think I got it January that year so two years old Hamish

I'd speak to fuji directly, you might find them to be more helpful than they are obliged to be ... It's been known

I'm hoping Rob as I am unable to fund a repair or replacement and will be lost without it/one and it may necessecitate the sale of lots of other stuff at rediculously knocked down prices, stuff is worth more to me than secondhand values being on a tight budget, just to own an everyday camera,
I'm expecting a 'sorry can't help you' to be honest

Kev, seriously, I'd be more than happy to send you my Fuji XF1 until you get yourself sorted. It has the same processor as the X10. It is just sitting on a shelf, and I'd rather it was used.

Gutted mate, I've been loving the fact that I can carry a compact little thing around that much it would dishearten me to be in your position to carry lump of DSLR around now, if that is the case.

As Dave Hobby said, The Nikon is my wife, and the x100s is my cheeky bit on the side....... I couldn't possible share my affair with you Kev?!

That's very nice of @Rob MacKillop to offer you his Fuji.... I'm surprised you didn't take up on that offer as your going to need something. You could always take a film camera around with you?
