Purple flowers X100

See, a spot of time in the garden did wonders! Nice and I'm sure one of those is the same plant that Chris posted a picture of the other day.

I was looking through New Delta Rising the other day - wonderful - and it reminded me that you hadn't posted any urban shots of late. Any in the pipeline?

Sadly these are out at the hiking trails. I'm afraid my flower beds are mostly (as in 99.5%) weeds at present. I didn't get my nap though. I organized and swept out the garage......

I haven't been able to do much photography lately because of some problems with my parents. However, I'm hoping to do something besides take pictures of the dogs going forward. They are a bit tired of the camera anyway. :D

I'm not sure what these flowers are. They are the only thing blooming right now. Somebody I ran into on the trails told me that one purple one that grows on the vine is not a native species. It looks rather out place when you see it in context.

That is really a great monograph. I tell you every time I look at it, I thank my Mom and Dad for moving us away from there when we were young. I have been to every one of those towns and they are all within 50 miles or so of where I was born. Nothing has changed. I haven't been back there since the mid 90's, but it looks the same. I am planning a trip over there later this year by car just to see it again. It's very strange going back there. The funny thing is when Dad and Mom moved us to Texas it was considered a very liberal state by Southern US standards.
