Thanks Brian - it got SWMBO good and proper this afternoon - if you look closely, each cute green shoot has a couple of nasty spines on it.

This is absolutely stunning! I have an e-mail friend in Arizona and the photographs I have seen are like another planet. On the other hand, she can't believe how green it is over here

Very striking Chris and the wonky framing of the two pinkish thingys (leaves?) breaks up the image and adds interest. The Velvia sim is well done too. I have downloaded various sims from the web but they are often way over the top with huge adjustments that can look very odd with some colours.

Wonderful colour combination and selective focus again Chris. I'd be tempted to lose a bit from the bottom though; maybe more 10 x 8.

Thanks everyone - agree with you on the crop Pete - I was almost thinking of going.... square!

The color is very striking this year on the cactus - and we planted it specifically to get that purple/green look.

As long as they can survive the cold/wet winters, and the Javelina trying to eat them!
