Taking photos of kids in a library? Dangerous...I've never been that brave. It's a good shot, Hamish, just a little creepy, maybe?

... Its just a photo of some kids reading some comic books ... it really shouldn't be creepy ... at all!!!!

Well, I don't find it creepy at all, but I can imagine some will. It does look like you are hiding yourself from the subject.

Them youngsters do what i do .... look at the pics

I think we are still a few decades away from books being replaced by tablets, sustainable forests permitting.


ps. the carpet looks proper rich with the grain (?)

I'd much rather see them stuck into a book than a computer ............ and there's nowt wrong with a candid shot of two lads in a library reading............. and anyone who has a problem with that needs to take a very long look at themselves. ........ Good capture Hamish.

im glad Oi don't find it creepy Rob, an I wouldn't worry about the sort of folk who do - or maybe I would worry about them ... As Pete says they should probably worry about them selves.
I agree that photos of childeren can be open to some concern ... But the content and context of the shot should definitely be observed.
I am taking photos of them without them knowing, but I hope it is obvious it's not in a predatory fashion!

I ha to very slightly tweak up the shadows in LR4 for this shot Ahmad, it did appear to enhance the grain/carpet

I've had another look at this ................ and for me it's almost like the two lads are "secondary" with the two curves of the bookshelve dominating......... I like this shot a lot.

I agree, those curves and the composition is superb. How did you know they were from Reading though?!
