My newest camera is an Olympus XA3, which I got on Thursday. This is the first test shot. I used expired "Vons" brand 400 ASA film. (Vons is a supermarket chain over here. The film is actually Fuji film. I can tell by the design on the edge of the negs.)

Anyway, quite happy with the camera.

Looks nice and crisp Brian - exposure looks good as well

I like the natural vignette effect on this one - Taco Stand or Hot Dogs?

It has also caught some (usually invisible) alien blobs. Now we know where they are! You have found a camera which breaks through their invisibility cloaks. Men in suits and dark glasses will be paying you a visit. :-)

The XA3 has been described a a piece of cheap crap. It would seen it is not so bad from your photo Brian.
Never seen that said about the XA3 Paul. I've seen several excoriations of the XA1, which I think may be unfounded since that camera was designed as very different (and cost down) animal from the others in the XA series (XA, XA2, XA3 and XA4).

Don't tell Pete what you've seen,...OK Rob? ;)

Superb Brian. What a wonderfully isolated scene. The space around really make the composition for me and as for the tones... fabulous. Looking forward to more from this cheap piece of craap!!

Aliens indeed! Have you been in that booze cupboard again Rob?!! ;)

Much appreciated, Pete. Thank you. That particular road is not often so quiet. I was driving when I saw the ice lolly man and was lucky to be able to pull over and get the shot with nothing else in the scene but what you see. Shot it through my car window. Thank again, Pete.
