Hard to imagine this is just a short hop from the myriad of tourists on Princess Street who think that is all there is to the capital...maybe best they aren't told otherwise, they might upset the balance here...

Leith's an odd place. Some amazing architecture, great restaurants and bars, yet also a feeling of being run down. Some decidedly dodgy parts for a visitor. But I do like to wander around there every now and again.
