Return of Dark Spring!

These days I use raw, and the X-E1, so I'm getting more detail to play with. Increased blacks, whites, lowered exposure - all in Lightroom. In Elements I played with Levels, In Nik Viveza I increased the brightness of the dandelion, and contrast too.

Focus sharpness could be better...

No. I've tried a few alternatives, and can't get the softness I'm looking for on the seed head. If you have nothing better to do, feel free to give it a try. :)

not sure if this is what you were after, but i gave it a try. first thing i did was run levels and pressed the auto button just to brighten it up. i had a feeling that the filter i was going to play with in nik was going to make it too dark. i tried a few different filters in nik color efex pro and ended up using glamor glow...settings for that are below.

That's perfect. Thanks very much, Beth. I'll try to reproduce that later. Of course, you'll get 50% of all the profits :D Book that round-the-world cruise you always wanted!
