Critique Welcomed Riding in Ørebro

Thank you Rob. The letter ø is pronounced as in the middle of the word Sir actually. Some times a little longer stress on it as in sir and sometimes a little shorter. If I was to write sir as pronounced in Scandinavia, it would be; " sø. " or sør if you wish to pronounce the r.

I give up!
Why? Are you to speak Scandinavian now sir? the ø sound is as in the middle of how your word sir is pronounced. But the word sør in Norwegian, Danish and Swedish means south. Another word in Norwegian is mør, which is pronounced as sir except for the s but instead an m and means tender. Every language has that sound Rob, but just not the letter. Your language has the word " fur " where the same sound is being found as also in your word, namely yes " word." Got any wiser now mate?

Ivar, I was once in Denmark and someone said the letter ø was pronounced like the English "oo" sound as in look, book or cook. Is it pronounced that way in Denmark? (Nice shot by the way!)

With all due respect Brian, but that someone may have had a lot of beers consumed at the time, or was not Danish, or not any good with the Scandinavian languages compared to the English sounds. In Sweden, Denmark and Norway the Ø is pronounced as I previously wrote. Like in sir, fur, stir etc. There are words that has a socalled long pronounciation or a short Ø. The sound in cool, look etc has nothing to do with Ø. First time I have been so serious mate in a long while!
