Critique Welcomed River Nevis disappearing into the blackness

The thing that strikes me instantly is the horizon doesn't appear to be level which is somewhat distracting after you notice it. There's also a halo around the mountain where I imagine you've done some dodging and burning? I would bring the blacks up a little to try and get a little more definition from the tree at the very top, and the dark area at the lower right part of the image.
