Rivets

Another set from Clare Park. This is a disused railway bridge that must be fairly old by now. The rivets look like they are the of the old manually hammered in type that were worked with a caulking chisel. The bridge is not very interesting but I like the textures on the well weathered steelwork.

I think I prefer this colour image out of the two, for now anyway.

I like the color one best but this set, and the others you've posted from your excursion are great examples of how the mundane cane be made interesting with a little thought and creativity. Very nice Paul.

After watching a few Fred Dibnah programmes it's odd how rivets can be come interesting. I can tell you all about rivet caulking but won't, I'll save that for people I don't like!

Thank you for the wonderful comments guys.

I like the new ones too, especially the first.

Fred Dibnah is one of my few heroes. I've been watching reruns of his programmes on some obscure channel. Great stuff.

I'm liking the color shot - I like how the green of the moss is slowly reclaiming the rivets
