Another great act I caught at the weekend. I would so love to get a pass to get into the pit in front of the crowd. I'm nearly there though, one band I sent one of my shots to asked if they could use it, I said only if they would get me a pass when they get big and they agreed (hmm sounds like I've been suckered now)

Anyway heres a few shots I took of Roddy Woomble, used to be the lead singer in Idlewild and has now gone solo. I'm not sure if I like the first two, it seemed like a good idea at the time, but they lack a little in the composition dept, but it'll be interesting to see what people think.

I really like them...
I got realt into taking photos of bands, all be it local small ones ... I'll dig out some shots today...
Anyway, I mention it because that's the sort of shots I would have been over the moon with! Something a little less obvious!
The 3rd and 4th are good, but not in the same league as the first 2 in my books ... But as I say, thats coming from doing this sort of thing with a min to find more unusual shots!

The first one is special - the catch light in the eyes, the way the light bursts - very nice

I agree with Hamish, Vic. I like the composition of the first two (maybe a few minor crops might add even more). You could probably even get away with pushing the contrast higher I reckon.

I agree about 1 and 2. I especially like #1 because of the big burst of light from above and the little burst of light reflecting off (or out of) the left eye. Nice stuff Vic!
