Hi All,

Here I was all geared up to get myself into London for some street photography ...... and ...... rained off

Cheers to All
Pete

it was cloudy up here this weekend, but the right amount of cloudy for when I was in the highlands on saturday :)

Ok ............ I'm out there tomorrow ........... and if I get wet and cold then I'll blame you lot.

Pete

Right ......... I bit the bullet.

I got up at 6am and toddled off to the station ............. 7:15 on the train. Which proceeded to stop at every damn backwater there is between Aldershot and Waterloo (and there are loads) just so absolutely no-one could get on or off the train. Next we have engineering works on the line, so we stop for 20 minutes..... and gusss what ??? when we carry on, there is not a single person in a "Hi Vis" vest anywhere in sight............ Finally, 1 hour and 55 minutes after getting on it we arrive at Waterloo. (Big Note to Self: "Let this serve a reminder as to why I don't use Public Transport" Carbon Footprint Be Damned).

......... and it is chucking down.

Next, the tube train to Leicester Square. It's still chucking down and hardly a soul in sight. Picadilly Circus is like a scene from some "End of the World" type films (only blessfully devoid of Tom cruise) .......... and it's still chucking down.

Covent Garden ............. A few miserable souls, me included (I now have a headache, I'm wet and hungry) sheltering from the rain ......... So before I endured an equally ridiculous journey home courtesy of South West Trains. I mustered what little inspiration I had been left and wandered around. Quite frankly, for what I managed I might have just a well left the Lens Cap on............ Anyway, here are three.

A load of Giant Easter Eggs (That the Easter Bunny Laid)

A young fella pretending to be interested in something the girl is showing him. When all he wants to do is take har home for a roll in the sack ............ Ok, so being tired, wet and hungry has made me cynical.

...........and finally. Tube train coming out of a tunnel............ Up the Colour Temp and Saturatiion and "Voila!!!!"

Never Again ................

Liking the Giant Easter Eggs shot, too.

Kudos for making the effort! I'm off work tomorrow & was hoping for a fine day & a walk around Derbyshire, but might not bother if it's wet again.

It took me ages to get the shot of the couple together ............ People kept walking into shot and he kept talking to a group off to his left.

The forecast does not look at all happy for tomorrow Alfie.

Props for getting out there, and you got some keepers too.

The eggs are fascinating, and so seasonal! ;)

Sorry Pete, I'll pop back and have a look at your pics in a bit ... I'm just gonna use your thread
To have a moan!
What the **** is this sunshine we are having today ... On tuesday ... As in after bank holiday Monday
****ing taking the **** that is!

It's miserable here on Potsdam Hamish - but it was nice on Easter Sunday in Gross Himstedt. Unfortunately I spent most of the day inside sorting out the house of Ina's mother. Managed to get some time to photograph some things I've meaning to for some time thought while some of the others were taking a nap!!

By the way Peter, I really like the Easter eggs and love the underground shot. How about B&W with a bit more contrast?

I always figured it was traditional to have cr@p weather on Bank Holidays Hamish - sitting near the beach, watching the rain come in sideways, as you sit in the car eating your fish and chips :(

... Yeah, Hannah failed her driving test last thursday so our plans for sitting in a car doing anything were shot... That said, we couldn't have gone anywhere anyway, the windscreen wipers have broken and I've only just managed to source a new relay ... So really any plans for car related activities were doomed from the start!

I like the people shot Pete ... And I think your right! But I'm always cynical in the mornings! :)
