Russia 1909-12 Amazing Photos

Normally images from this period were black and white, but these images were captured in B&W in three filters: red, green and blue, then put together with lanterns, giving early colour images of sorts. Worth a look...

The whole collection has been on-line for quite a number of years. Invaluable as an example of the power of photography as a socio-historic medium for preserving long lost cultures—as well as great photography.

This is an enormous resource for historic photographs.

There are hundreds if not thousands of stereo pairs that show perfectly on my Fujifilm V1 stereo viewframe once processed through Stereo Photo Maker
StereoPhoto Maker (English)
They can also be processed to view through red/green anaglyph glasses, or printed for stereo viewers like the Holmes Stereoscope. As well as early colour and stereo content, it is a rich treasure trove of our history as photographers.

Just stunning Rob - can't get my head around them being from the early 1900s
