Has anyone had holes burnt in their pockets with the Xmas & New Years sales? Photography related or not?
Thought itd be interesting to show our buys (if there are any?)

What I bought;
Photography related: 1x rubber collapsible lens hood, 1x canon ew-63ii lens hood, 1x cokin A series filter holder & ring, 7x random filters for it, 1x ND2 screw on filter, 1x transcend 16gb wifi sd card, 1x 2-3x conversion thingy

Non photography: Mums Xmas present & Stepdads xmas present (haha!) :D

Picture to follow (for photography bits) when they turn up.

Pink Floyd Live in Pompeii - Directors Cut DVD, but nothing photography related.

Ooo have you watched it yet? It's awesome!!!!
I've had a look at the original concert in the extras and looked at some of the other extra bits, but not had time for the main feature yet.
Can't wait though:D:D.

You are in for an absolute treat! Honestly, I'm not aware of a better live performance ... especially considering the lack of audience ... awesomeness!!

I bought a really very nice leather wrist strap for my Fuji X10. Nowt else I wanted.

My bits arrived. Well, the lens hood didnt, and the shop in question won't respond to me. So I've given them a 'letter before action' - my background comes in handy.
Everything else came though, filter system is a bit boring actually - but I've not played with it enough yet.
I had asked the parents for a battery grip (I suggested a no-brand one) which came with 2 batteries. - I'm supposed with the feel of the grip straight out of box, the grippy substance feels nice - sort of a thin rubber coating?
I'm charging the batteries as I type, and they are too big for the charger, so I've had to sort of wedge it in lol.
We'll see what happens when they're done..

The memory card turned up today, bloody technology, I thought I'd manage it in 2 seconds being a youngster, but no, I'm struggling to connect it to the home hub. Least the in-built wifi works.

Pointless update to the thread really weren't it? Lol

just got my after christmas package, just some little stuff.. lens strap for the x-e1, extra battery (off brand), extra sd card, couple qd quick loops for the x-pro 1 and x-e1, another bubble level since i've lost mine again.

I brought myself a couple of bit's of artwork whilst away, one rice paper rubbing of some base reliefs ( which I suspect is mass produced ) and a unfinished water colour that a artist in the ground of a temple was working on. I think I was there at just the right time as it really caught my eye, I shall no doubt add to the pile of other art work that I have never got framed!

been looking for a small, cheapish, sturdy, model rocket with a metal or metal looking finish for over a year. for taking photos of in various environments.. found it today, ordered, hopefully shipped tomorrow.

Cool - is it retro?

Any pics?
