The part where he talks about loosing his faith n humanity after being in Rwanda and how he was dying inside because of it,
then his current Genesis. Don McCullin talks similarly, that all he wants to do now is photograph beautiful Somerset.

I think it is finding equlibrium. For a person who has been mostly in sunshine, shadow and gloom would be equlibrium.
