Salwarpe water feature.

Dan Cattermole

Dan Down - The Steampunk Womble
After bieng teased in a previous post by Kev, he finally revealed a location or two of 'waterfalls'
This is pretty much a intense as they get Davie, so, disappointed you shall be.... lol
I unfortunately got to this location as it was getting very dark...... to put it into perspective, ISO 100, NO ND filter, f stop 7.1....... and it preselected a shutter speed of 8 seconds, so yeah, not much light to play with..... the second shot was a 20secs on f stop 9.....
Admittedly these shots were not thought of greatly as time was ticking, I will have a revisit soon (maybe when the big freeze arrives) but I thought I'd post these average shots for now.

I was hoping to get a longer exposure to really get some curly whirlies on the go, but A. my battery died after that exposure and B. It was getting on a bit..... but, I will return!! :) :) :)

Looking forward to you finding the second in the list of falls....:D:D:D I knew you wouldn't resist the challenge :D

I know Kev, Silly me, I knew I didn't have much life in it to be fair and I did happen to drive past the Salwarpe turn.... So I dived in. lol I do like a challenge tho Kev.

Thanks Brian :)

Cheers Pete, My intentions where just to get the fall in the distance of the shot, but when previewed and it died seconds after, I managed to see the swirl which I was suprised about. lol. then I called it a day.

I went down to the water feature in pumps Kev..... got pretty muddy as you can imagine. lol

No battery power? No suitable footwear? hhhmmmmm, nope, sorry Kev. I don't see what on earth you mean?!?! :D :D :D :D

Note in your homework diary

'Dan tries but often falls short due to his eagerness to get the result often failing in simple tasks he makes the most of the situation and always produces good work, with a little attention to the finer details he could do well...........8 out of 10 for turning up'

Hehe :D:D:D:D sorry Dan better than a Pughie detention :D

I best not reveal how I approach this next waterfall or my plan? Even afterwards!! May result in in detention this time!! :D:D:D

Agree with Pete - the reflections in the water on #1 are really nice

In fact both are excellent, and make great B&W images

More please! :)

Just make sure you have full battery, correct footware for the occasion and more time :D then you may get house points :D:D:D:D

Stunning water patterns in both, especially in #2! Longish exposure really helps to bring out the ripples here, brilliant :).
