Critique Welcomed Sassenachs!

How dare they! On the other hand, they do help make this a finely composed image. Love the wee stream of water curving round the right-hand side of the "pitch".

A fine English tradition Brian, lol I do enjoy the old form of cricket though, they called them test matches. Playing on such beach must be a test as well. Good piccy.

Thanks a lot, Julian. I should try to understand more about the game; for me the real test is watching it.

I saw the word "cricket" and almost fell fast asleep...who invented such a boring "sport"...?

However, it's cracking image, and I love that grain...did you do this in the developing process Brian or is Neopan 400 inherently grainy...?

:D

Thanks Dougie. With regard to the grain, Neopan is not so inherently grainy. Rodinal is rated as a developer that tends to induce grain. Nevertheless, I may have been doing the Cha Cha Cha when I was agitating this roll. ;)

A fine image old man:rolleyes: and a one that reminds me of an incident in Trinidad which is another country of cricket. A day match at the savannah was going on as I was passing with my camera. As it was a short brake, I ventured into the pitch, lay down to get some good shots of the little action. And as you say, how boring, the game never seem to start again until I realised that from certain spectators my name was called. " get away and leave the pitch uncle Ivar," was the message. I was a disturbance to the game as I lay smack in the middle of the action, with a 50mm so as to get close to the game. I was not very popular at that moment I tell you.
