So the roasting pan is suspended above the heat source,....free floating I presume? Very interesting indeed. Why would the Germans cook sausage that way, Pedro?

If I remember right, the pan holds the heat source and there is a grill over it. Easy(ish) to transport I guess.

Trying to visualize it. Oh well,...I'll take your word for it. (The only things I know about German sausage are that Germans like them and so do I! )
