Save all your kisses for me

Very good picture that unfortunately ticks one of my pet peeves - the ubiquitous backpack. I used to ridicule tourists for wearing a fanny pack. Now some people won't leave home without a big, honking backpack to carry all of their 'must have at all times' junk.

John, I'm sure there are worse things in the world to spend your time lamenting.

Nice shot, and I love Pete's observation. I know I just couldn't snap two lovers kissing, which is why I'll never be a street photographer.

Firstly, a fine image, secondly as a backpacker myself, walking about in India carrying all my dirty laundry and having two hands free to do photography, hug up someone etc John, is a smart thing.:D The backpack as you call it, stems from rucksacks which in turn has its origin from, yes you guessed it, the land of the Vikings. Where people roam the mountains and valleys, forests and plains, in winter as well as all seasons of the year. And in them, there usually can be found, a lunch pack, a water bottle, rainwear and an extra sweater in case of sudden cold. An invention which also politicians in suits do carry, whatever those contain? It is aninvention which properly adjusted, does more good to you back than a shoulder bag or even a waistbag. I am in doubt whether you have any nordic blood in your veins John? Haven't your parents taught you anything in regard to Nordic ways and culture?
