That is rather gorgeous. Can you create some more black space around it? It feels a tiny bit cramped.

Yes I can, but the more black surround you have, the further away the detail becomes. But the original has a lot of black around it. When I get time I'll upload it. Not today, I don't think.

The reverse side did not come out so well...but perhaps not without interest.

I didn't did it? Maybe too many internal shadows. Did you ever try the white sides?

Not yet. Might work here. I did that reverse scan with a sheet of acetate over the glass for the first time. I doubt that it had an influence on the outcome. The glass needs protection.

I like them. The top looks like some sort of Victorian, museum exhibition whereas the lower has the look of a shot from a deep-sea exploration vessel.

Yes, I left all the dust in the second one, which helps that under water feel. Saves me a lot of time too!

Cheers Dave and RJ. It's fun taking a withered leaf from the garden, scanning it, and seeing these golden treasures appearing on screen - a kind of alchemy! Couldn't be easier to do.
