Scenes from a towpath

Nothing special here. No groundbreaking photography, just some snaps recording a pleasant day walking a small part of the Grand Union Canal in North London.

We started in Little Venice which is all very twee.......







But instead of following the well trodden tourist trial which takes you through Camden Lock and Regents Park we headed out to were things are more down to earth, if that's the right thing to say about a canal.......







Plenty of scope for reflections of buildings old, new and repurposed.......

that last image isn't what you think of when you think of london. excellent series of images. some interesting images for sure, i'm wondering about the chairs and table on the back of the boat in the first image. is it just for show or do they get any use? the potted plants in the old tins are a cool little detail.

The whole canal boat thing is interesting. A guy I went to high school with here in the states has a brother with a boat and he and the rest of his brothers often are on the water in the UK, Nice series Peter!

The last one is my favourite. As you say it doesn't look like what you'd expect in London, more like some backwater of Bruges or somewhere like that.
I rather suspect the deckchairs are there mainly for show, perhaps even an attempt at some some sort of arty 'installation'. Either way they caught my eye just as the mixture of old tins for the plants did.
