Very artistically done, a beautiful image as I see it.
Thanks Tom appreciated.I agree with Ivar. A common gull indeed but a very uncommon/original image. The gull is in no mans land. My imagination wants to gull to be swimming in the opposite direction, away from the bad devil in the dark weed to the refuge and safety of the good, bright weed.
Beautiful abstracts at play here both on the surface of the water and below it.
Thanks Beth, that is waht attracted me to the image, the different texture, shape and patterns, I think the gull was an added bonus.there's a lot going on in this image, and it all seems to be done in layers. layers of cool and warm tones, layers of shadow at the bottom and light at the top. nicely seen.
Superb shot Julian and I like Tom's interpretation of it. There really is quite a lot of tension in the view. I see a closing in on the gull. Maybe also something rising up from the depths. Something is going to happen for sure.
Thanks Barry, This did actually get me thinking. I may try a few more shots around rocks and kelp which are wonderful plants, the sea can give some interesting colours and light.Great shot. Is that your reflection in the water also?
And the seaweed looks as if it would be slimy if I were to touch my screen y'know?
Thanks Barry. Yep 1/20 not bad more an oldy handheld .Do it! I think you should!
I couldn't agree more about the interesting colours & textures.
Does the exposure read 1/20 or is that a typo?
