Nice stuff Dan, I like the effect a lot. What kind of snoot did you use? I have a Rogue Flashbender that can be rolled into a snoot but not experimented with it much yet.
When I say modified, I mean very improvised, tacky, cheap yet effective way of getting the 'snoot' result :/
I uses a black backdrop, but unfortunately the flashgun picked up the backdrop like a saw thumb. I needed the light to be beamed to the subject (myself) only. A flashgun was out of the question for the improvised method. So I used a powerful continuos 'studio' light with a 200 lumen large torch with a tube (could use an empty kitchen roll tube) that fitted almost conveniently, cable tie for securing.
Then I attached the torch to a studio stand and above my head...... And there you have it.
A home made effective snoot that serves a purpose.
