Continuing my fascination with Blackpool and the promenade, a recent jaunt to dapple in blue hour and later as nighttime shared the illuminations space.

Thanks Beth, and that remark pleases me as I’ve been experimenting with a cinestill 800t lut in Rawtherapee and tweaking it to get a digital cinestill profile with minimal work.

I’d love to shoot more of the real stuff, but alas I need to pay bills and eat

What a super series, Wes. There is something rather special about seaside resorts out-of-season; I spent my formative years growing up in one. The closed-up arcade and ‘Coral Island’ are my favourites. The latter almost looks like a still from a film.

That last sentence has made my night Pete- sincerely, I feel the same with that last Coral Island shot- film stills resembling the looks of 80’s/90’s cinema night scenes has been a goal with the collection of imagery I’ve been shooting in Blackpool.

Glad to hear it Tony, at some point I’ll review all my illumination and Blackpool photos and share a curated post- could prove a a nice way to vet thoughts I have of turning it into a small zine one day.
