Hi all,
I just wanted to start a simple thread which everyone can contribute to, I have just been sitting here at lunch thinking about shots I might want to do when I get home during the evening with limited time and only a few items around the house.
It would be cool if people could share ideas for mini shoots or some creative ideas other people might not have thought to do.
I think the 'rules' for ideas in this area could be:
Just wondering what creative ideas people could have for some shots, perhaps we could have a weekly thing where each week a simple theme would change eg this week the subject must involve apples.
Here are a few ideas I am thinking of:
Still life shoot with fruit or flowers
Use of shadows and reflections of kitchen items
Use of liquids such as oils and water on objects
Use of a laserpen/pointer on glass
Panoramic views of garden/room using multiple photos stitched together
Self portraits
Shots of animals/pets
Use of different surface textures (fabrics on hard surfaces)
Starlight photos (although this would need a tripod)
Using toys/small models in dioramas in the house
Shots of different wood grain
Photos of other cameras
DIY lenses/hand lensing

- Won't take long to shoot
- No setup needed (ie you don't spend an hour setting up lights etc)
- Uses items around the house/close to hand (not heading off specially to a location)
