Smoking hot!

Dan Down - The Steampunk Womble
Hi all,

Been a while on here, not picked up the camera much... A LOT going on in my life, mix of good and bad.
Thought I'd just grab the camera and see what I could do with my latest (December) purchase, and it's not a camera.
This is my beast on 4 wheels! A 3.5L V8 BMW 535i... It's an absolute monster on the Tarmac and sounds beautiful.
Back to photography....
D7000 - 10-20mm sigma lens @ f7.1, ISO 200, exposure time 15secs. The scene is much much darker than the picture tells, had to do a lot of PP to bring the shadows and blacks back. Have it a big boost of clarity (90%) on LR. But just look at the timing with the clouds! Someone call the fire brigade because this monster is smoking!!! :)

Many thanks ;)

Hi Dan. Not ino cars too much myself, I like to get from A to B , except I guess I would quite like a Land Rover , great vehicles to get away from everyone. It looks fast and something tells me you drive it fast ;)
Great timing with the cloud . Good to see you posting again.

Dan;

Lovely choice of vehicle, I'd call that performance, "Point and Squirt", holy cow.........3.5 V8, simply sexual! How many brake ponnies does it produce I wonder?

Enjoy it my friend, oh by the way, excellent photography!

Regards;
peter

Thank you Peter, much appreciated.
It gallops along on 252 BHP currently.... Looking to remap it adding 60% to it, taking it above 300bhp.. Dayum!!

yeah, the current ponies are not too bad considering the 1.7tonne over all package that moves from still to the mark of 60mph in 6.9 seconds... :)

About six years ago I got my son into Semi-Pro Motorcycle Racing (track & road), so I'm quite keen on how you can tweak a motorcycle's power graph etc.......Power Commander - racing wiring loom - K&N race air filter - re-mapping - EBC racing brake pads - different sized teeth on sprockets for more/less acceleration for a certain race track - braided steel brake hoses for better stopping power/grip - less weight/carbon fibre panels - lighter wheels - Akrapovic titanium race exhaust - slipper clutch etc..... I love it.

Similar effect for cars....

I like the way you did it, but would have liked a wee bit of more sky above the car. Enjoy it, but take care. It's easy to get carried away, literally.
